For a long time, measuring boxes was seen as a minor chore. Most teams relied on supplier spec sheets, grabbed a tape measure, or simply took a quick guess. Today, that old habit is quietly costing businesses thousands of dollars in hidden waste and unexpected charges. The truth is, dimensioning errors do not just happen at dispatch—they start the moment goods hit your receiving. When inbound stock is measured wrong, bad numbers flow straight into your warehouse management system. That single mistake creates a domino effect across the whole floor.
