International lubrication specialist Graco joins MEGATRANS2018
Lubrication equipment manufacturer Graco is looking to capitalise on its latest technological advancements and has joined multi-modal trade event MEGATRANS2018 as an exhibitor.
For 90 years, Graco has been a major provider of lubrication equipment to the international transport market, and has built a large presence in the Australian transport sector.
“We make pumping equipment for all sorts of fluids, and cover a very broad and diverse range of products,” explains Richard Foulis, Director of Sales & Marketing, Process & Lubrication Equipment – Asia Pacific at Graco.
The equipment manufacturer offers a complete line of pumps, dispense valves, hose reels, fluid management and reclaim systems for the broader service and industrial markets.
In May next year, it will join a range of other manufacturers, service providers and industrial equipment specialists for MEGATRANS2018 – a new trade show event that will cover the entire supply chain from point of origin to point of sale – including the wider transport and logistics sector.
Graco has exhibited at a range of transport-angled events in Australia, including the likes of the International, Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show and the Brisbane Truck Show. However, with MEGATRANS2018 targeting Australia’s truck and transport sector as well as the wider logistics supply chain, the lubrication equipment specialist is changing how it engages with the market.
“A big part to our business that we’re trying and leverage here is our fluid handling systems for fleet workshop facilities,” explains Mr. Foulis.
Putting its hardware front and centre at each event has been a core part of the company’s approach to these types of trade events, however Graco’s stand at MEGATRANS2018 will feature none of its physical products. Rather, Mr. Foulis says the company will focus on showcasing its fluid management system in action digitally given that it’s a system utilised wirelessly.
“We want to focus on the advances in our fluid handling range, particularly our fluid management system, which can track how much fluid is being dispensed into the truck engine. We’ve offered established fluid management systems for quite a while in Australia, and we would like to showcase the advances in this range.”
Graco Sales Manager – Lubrication & Process Equipment ANZ Derek Wardrobe says that while the company is specifically targeting the truck and on-road transport market and vehicular workshop sector at MEGATRANS2018, having different facets of the supply chain at the event may prove beneficial in promoting its fluid management system to more areas of the market.
“If we can get leads from those different areas then that’s be a bonus for us as well,” he says.
He adds that hosting the show at the centrally-located Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre will also be a good draw card for attracting many of the major rural transport firms from Australia’s eastern states.
