Alternative Fuel Summit 2026, presented by the Victorian Transport Association, and supported by CMV Truck & Bus and Viva Energy Australia as part of MegaTrans 2026, focuses on practical pathways to decarbonising freight transport. Bringing together industry leaders, policymakers, fleet operators, technology providers and sustainability experts, the summit will explore how the freight sector can transition to low- and zero-emission transport solutions.
Discussion topics include vehicle electrification, hydrogen-powered transport, sustainable biofuels and other emerging technologies that are reshaping the future of freight mobility. Attendees will gain insights into the investments, infrastructure requirements and strategic partnerships needed to support industry-wide adoption of alternative fuels. The MegaTrans 2026 Official Opening Breakfast marks the launch of one of Australia’s leading freight, logistics and transport industry events. Hosted by the Victorian Transport Association and supported by Teletrac Navman, the breakfast provides attendees with an opportunity to connect with industry professionals, business leaders and government representatives before the commencement of the MegaTrans exhibition.
Guests will hear from the Victorian Minister for Ports and Freight, the Hon Melissa Horne MP, who will provide insights into government priorities and the future direction of freight infrastructure and supply chains.
